Albertsons Double Coupon Score

I made a quick trip to Albertsons today to use some double coupons from this week's Food Day. Here's what I got:

(4) 4-packs of Starbucks Mocha Frappuccinos $4.99 each = $19.96
(3) Skintimate Shave Gel $1.50 each = $4.50
(5) Kraft Ranch Dressing $1.50 each = $7.50
Total: $31.96

Used 4 $2/1 Frappuccino coupons (found at Starbucks stores or at the Starbucks counter in grocery stores) = (-$8.00)
Used 3 $0.75/1 Skintimate coupons = (-$2.25)
Used 5 $1.50/1 Kraft Dressing coupons = (-$7.50)
Used 3 Albertsons double coupons = (-$3.00)
Total: $11.21 (65% savings)

So, to recap, I got the shave gel and the dressing for free, and paid only $2.74 for 3 of the 4-packs of Frappuccinos, and $2.99 for one of them! That's cheaper than Costco!

*Note: the Albertsons double coupons state that only $1 and lower coupons can be doubled, so I was expecting to only have the Skintimate $0.75 coupons to be doubled. My cashier doubled the Starbucks coupons ($1 each), and told me she'd had so many complaints that she talked to the manager and he told her to go ahead and give the full $1 double amount on the higher value coupons! Lucky day!
Check out more great Albertsons deals for this week here.

Walgreens $5 off $25 In-Store May 21-22

Walgreens has released a new coupon good only Wednesday and Thursday. It's good for $5 off your in-store purchase of $25 or more (this total is after all other coupons have been deducted). When I first saw it, I thought I probably wouldn't take advantage of it, because most of my health and beauty stuff I can usually get for free. However, the more I thought about it, the more excited I got about it!

Here's a way that I came up with to get almost $40 in products for only $1.77 (after coupons and Register Rewards):

Buy Right Guard Professional Strength Deodorant $4.99
-Use $1/1 coupon from 4/19 SS insert
-Receive $4.99 RR

Buy Colgate Visible White Toothpaste $4.99
-Receive $4.99 RR

Buy Skintimate Shave Gel $1.99
-Use $0.75/1 coupon from 4/26 SS insert
-Receive $1.00 RR

Buy Bayer Quick Release Crystals $2.49
-Receive $2.49 RR

Buy 4 Band Aids $2.50 each
-Use $1/1 coupons from 4/26 Red Plum, 3/15 SS or 2/8 SS inserts
-Receive $4.00 RR

Buy 2 Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaners $2.79 (BOGO)
-Use $0.75/1 coupons from 4/26 SS insert

Buy Bic Bonus Pack Utility Pack Lighter $2.99
-Use $1/1 coupon here
-Receive $1.00 RR

Buy Johnson's Soft Wash $3.50
-Use $2/1 coupon from 4/19 Red Plum insert

Buy filler item worth $0.77 or more

Total: 25.24
-Use $5/$25 in-store coupon
Pay $20.24 OOP
Receive $18.47 in RR

Total paid: $1.77

That's a savings of 95%!

*Now, my job is to find a Walgreens that has all of these items in stock and a checker who rings up my order correctly!

Huggies Deal at Kroger Stores

Huggies is giving you $3 off at checkout when you spend $15 at participating Kroger stores until 5/30/09! You can purchase any combination of Huggies products and you can receive two discounts per transaction. I imagine you can use coupons for the products you are buying, making this a pretty sweet deal! Here are some coupons that are out there:

$1/1 Little Swimmers Disposable Swim Pants from 5-17-09 SS insert, here or $1.50/1 here
$2/1 Pull-ups from 5-17-09 SS insert or here
$2/1 Little Swimmers Suncare Products from 5-17-09 SS insert
$1.50/1 diapers from 5-17-09 SS insert
$3/1 Pure & Natural diapers from 5-17-09 SS insert or here
$1.50/1 GoodNites Sleep Pants from 5-17-09 SS insert
Also, go here to complete a short survey and then you'll be able to print up to 12 copies of a $2/1 coupon for diapers

I don't have any idea if this is only valid at Kroger stores or if it is also valid at Kroger subsidiaries (like Fred Meyer and QFC).

K-Mart Coupon

I just got an e-mail from K-mart with a coupon for $10 off $100 purchase in-store between May 22-25. Click here to print this coupon.

Now, if they'd just have a double coupon event!

Some Great Fred Meyer Deals!

I've been to Fred Meyer a couple of times this past week to pick up some great deals, most of which are valid through May 26:

Finish (Electrasol) Gel Tabs (20-ct.) $2.99
Use the $2.50/1 coupon (can't find reference to what insert it's from)
Final price: $0.49

Finish Quantum Dishwashing Tablets (12-ct. or 15-ct. bonus) $1.25
Use $1.00/1 coupon (I got a bunch of these from a tear-off pad a while back)
Final price: $0.25

Coppertone Sunscreen sticks $3.99
Use $4.00/1 coupons hanging near the product
Final price: FREE
I've done this deal 4 times and have had no problems. The cashier has always pushed the coupon through, even though it beeps when they scan it.

Kellogg's NutriGrain Bars $2.13 (buy 2)
Use $1/1 6-pack or larger bottled water found in a Kellogg's booklet on the NutriGrain display
Get a great deal on bottled water (and the bars are a great price, too!)

Oroweat Bread $2.00 or Hamburger Buns $2.50
Use $1/1 coupon from the 3/15 SS insert
Final price: $1.00 - $1.50

Axe/Walgreens Movie Ticket Deal Update

Remember my post about the free movie tickets at Walgreens? Well, now might be a good time to buy your Axe products because they're 25% off at Walgreens this week. Pair the sale with the $1/1 Axe bodywash coupon from the 4/5 Unilever insert and you might get a fairly good deal.

Remember, you must buy 3 Axe products to get 1 movie ticket or 5 products to get 2 movie tickets. The trial size shampoos and body washes DO NOT work towards this promotion.

Go To the Movies for Free!

Yes, I said free. Walgreens if running a promotion now through 5/30 that looks like this:

Purchase 3 Axe products, get a free movie ticket
or
Purchase 5 Axe products, get 2 free movie tickets

I did this deal a couple of months ago. I wasn't sure how difficult it would be to redeem the coupons for the free tickets, but it was so simple! After you make your purchase, a coupon (or two) will print out. You'll need to go online to emoviecash.com and enter the code on the coupon. Then you'll print out your movie tickets. They are redeemable for any movie at select theaters. (There are two in close proximity to my house.)

My tickets expired yesterday. My husband and I never made time to go to the movies, but realized last night that they were expiring. We happen to have our sister-in-law staying with us right now, and she offered to babysit while we went out. So, we went to the theater and purchased our tickets (it was no problem at all - just like paying cash). We saw a movie at 9:00 p.m. PST, which is the exact time that they expired! Nothing like procrastinating!

Anyway, I am not positive about whether or not the trial size Axe products will produce the movie tickets, but I'll keep you informed. Word on the street is that there are some Axe products on clearance, so keep your eyes open for those.

Free Coffee at Seattle's Best (Borders Locations Only)

Through May 6 you can get a free 12-oz. drink using this coupon at any Borders location of Seattle's Best Coffee. Go here to find a store near you.

Thanks, Frugal Living!

Free Bic Pens

Want a couple of boxes of free pens? Go on over to Coupons.com to print your $1/1 coupon for Bic pens. Then go to Staples next week (5/3 - 5/9) and pick up your box of 12 Bic Ultra Round Stic Grip ballpoint pens. The pens will be on sale for $1, and after the coupon, they will be free!

Remember to print your coupon twice.

While you're at Coupons.com, look for these valuable coupons:

$3/1 Huggies Pure & Natural Diapers
$1/1 Kellogg's cereals (each coupon is for a different kind of cereal, so only print the ones for the cereals you eat)
$1/1 Colgate Total (there are often Walgreens deals using these coupons)

I'm Back!

Wow, this has been one crazy week! You know the saying, "When it rains, it pours!" That has certainly been the case for me!
